Account Deletion

We understand that sometimes you may want to delete your account. This page explains how to permanently delete your Kairos account and what data will be removed in the process.

Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible after the 30-day grace period. All your data including journal entries, goals, media files, and progress will be permanently deleted.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: Through the App

Delete your account directly from your mobile device:

  1. Open the Kairos app on your device
  2. Navigate to Settings
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  4. Read the confirmation dialog carefully
  5. Tap Delete Account to confirm

Method 2: Contact Support

If you can't access the app, contact us directly:

support@journalwithkairos.com

Include your account email address and "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • All journal entries and content
  • Goals and progress tracking
  • Media files (photos, audio recordings)
  • Canvas boards and visual content
  • Account settings and preferences
  • Subscription and payment history
  • Usage analytics and insights
  • Profile information and metadata

Deletion Timeline

30-Day Grace Period

After requesting deletion, your account will be scheduled for deletion in 30 days. During this period, your account is deactivated but data is retained.

Recovery Option

You can cancel the deletion request by contacting support within the 30-day period. Your account and data will be fully restored.

Permanent Deletion

After 30 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems. This process cannot be undone.

Before You Delete

Consider These Alternatives

  • •Export your data: Use the app's sharing features to save your journal entries before deletion
  • •Disable notifications: Turn off all notifications if they're bothering you
  • •Take a break: Simply don't use the app for a while instead of deleting
  • •Contact support: We're here to help resolve any issues you might have
